Canesten Pessary is for the treatment of previously diagnosed vaginal thrush. A convenient single dose treatment, it contains the antifungal agent clotrimazole that gets to the source of the infection and starts to work within a couple of days.
Adults 16-60 years. Wash your hands before and after inserting the pessary. Insert into the vagina as a single dose preferably at night using the applicator provided. Can be repeated once if necessary. If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, consult your doctor.
Not recommended under 16 or over 60 years except under medical advice.

The pessary contains Clotrimazole 500mg. It also contains lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, lactic acid, maize starch, crospovidone, calcium lactate pentahydrate, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica and hypromellose.
