Product Details
Pripsen is a sachet containing a raspberry flavoured sugar free powder for oral suspension, used to eliminate threadworms and roundworms from the bowel. Each sachet contains piperazine, which paralyses the worms and standardised senna to expel them from the bowel. The first dose treats the adult worms and the follow up dose any young worms hatched from the eggs left behind.
Directions
Pripsen should be stirred into a small glass of milk or water and drunk immediately. Adults should take the dose at bedtime and children in the morning. Any unused powder should be discarded
Adults, the elderly and children over 6 years: Take One sachet
Children aged 1-6 years: Give One level 5ml spoonful (two thirds of a sachet)
Infants 3 months to 1 year Give One level 2.5ml spoonful (one third of a sachet)
Follow up dose
For threadworm – Take a second dose 14 days after the first one
For roundworm-, Take a second dose one month after the first dose. This may need to be repeated at monthly intervals for three months
