Teething

More information

At some point soon, your baby will start teething. It could be four months, it could be twelve months, but it will happen. When the babies’ first teeth, milk teeth, begin to break through the gums this process is known as teething, and can result in pain and fever, though it is possible that the teeth will grow without any pain. If your baby starts to chew things, such as its own fingers, he or she may be teething. In order to relieve your baby of any pain, irritation, rashes or inflammation, make sure you use products designed specifically for children. Also give them cool water and healthy things to chew on such as apple slices. As soon as your child’s teeth have arrived you can begin brushing them with special children’s toothbrushes.
