Nicotinell TTS Patches Step 1
Nicotinell TTS patches keep working around the clock to help you go smoke free. The patch is designed to you with decreasing amounts of Nicotine as you go from step 1, to 2 and then to 3, helping you to give up smoking all together.
Nicotinell patches can help you stop smoking. When you apply the patch, nicotine penetrates through the skin and into the body, replacing the nicotine you would normally get from smoking. The patches come in three sizes. As your body adjusts to not smoking you can gradually reduce the size and dosage of the patch over a period of around 12 weeks until you no longer need to use them.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking other medication or if symptoms persist. Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, planning to become pregnant or suffer from any allergies. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
Dosage:
Adults over 18 years and elderly: for those smoking 20 plus cigarettes per day, initially 1 TTS30 patch daily for 3-4 weeks. Patch size can be reduced depending upon response. Maximum use period 3 months. For those smoking less than 20 cigarettes a day, start with 1 TTS20 patch daily.
Adolescents under 18 years and pregnant and lactating women: not to be used without medical advice. TTS 30sq cm/average absorption 21mg/24 hours, TTS20sq cm/average absorption 14mg/24 hours, TTS10sq cm/average absorption 7mg/24 hours
If at first you don’t succeed
Relapses can and do occur, so don’t despair. Many ex smokers usually try several times before being successful. Think of your relapse as a temporary set back, rather than a failure. Use the experience and learn from it, so that next time you won’t be tempted again. Remember, if your determined to quit you can and will succeed, so try again as soon as your ready.
