Now simply Olay as opposed to Oil of Olay, this brands origin was in South Africa in 1949. It was unique in that Oil of Olay was never described as a moisturiser or even a beauty cream, it was simply a beauty secret, a pink fluid that restored a woman’s youth. Eventually the brand expanded into a whole range of skincare products for all types of skin, becoming the market leader in the USA, UK and China and considered to be the creator of anti-aging skincare solutions. Olay Regenerist was judged to be best performing anti-aging cream in 2006.
